Michael Frett scrapes a sticker off a lamppost Wednesday on Water Street in downtown Hallowell. The clean-up project was the first event for a new community service group called Old Codgers Doing Things for Hallowell. About a dozen men and women joined in on the lamppost cleaning. Organizer Kieran Kammerer said that there were about 80 people in the Facebook group and that they planned on getting together weekly to work on projects in the city. (Joe Phelan/Staff Photographer)
