BATES COLLEGE 2015 graduates

LEWISTON — The following students graduated from Bates College at the school’s 149th commencement ceremony on May 31:

• Emily Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Clark, of Readfield, graduated summa cum laude after majoring in physics. She is a 2011 graduate of the Maranacook Community School. In her first year at Bates, Clark received the Charles A. Dana Award, the highest academic honor first-year students receive at the college. She graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious liberal arts honor society and Sigma Xi, a national honor society that recognizes excellence in scientific research.

• Fiona Robins, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Christopher A. Robins, of Whitefield, graduated after majoring in environmental studies. She is a 2011 graduate of New Paltz Central High School.

• Gilbert Taylor, son of Keith Taylor and Laurie Carlson Taylor, of Hallowell, graduated after majoring in classical and medieval studies. He is a 2010 graduate of Kents Hill School.

• Lily Christine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Christine, of Alna, graduated cum laude after majoring in English. She is a 2011 graduate of homeschooling.

• Peter Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey B. Cole, of Carrabassett Valley, graduated after majoring in physics. He is a 2010 graduate of Carrabassett Valley Academy.

• Colby Gail, daughter of Dr. Aubrey C. Gail and Elizabeth E. Baldwin, of Topsham, graduated after majoring in rhetoric and American cultural studies. She is a 2011 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School.

• Tyler Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy and Lori Jones, of Newport, graduated after majoring in Russian and European studies. He is a 2011 graduate of Nokomis Regional High School.

• Frances Leslie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seaver W. Leslie, of Wiscasset, graduated after majoring in art and visual culture. She is a 2011 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy.

• Regan Radulski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Radulski, of Topsham, graduated after majoring in dance. She is a 2011 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School.

• Graham Safford, son of Lori L. Safford, of Carrabassett Valley, graduated after majoring in religious studies. He is a 2011 graduate of Hampden Academy.

• Felix Xie, son of Mr. Hai Ming Xie and Ms. Mei Yi Chen, of Skowhegan, graduated after majoring in environmental studies. He is a 2011 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School.
