OAKLAND —Nomination papers are available Thursday, Aug. 6, through Monday, Sept. 14, at the Oakland Town Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Candidates who wish to serve in any public offices must submit completed nomination papers no later than 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 to be voted upon Tuesday, Nov. 3. The required number of signatures is no less than 25 and not more than 100.

Current positions and terms expiring: two Town Council seats for a three -year term; three Budget and Advisory Committee seats for a four -year term and one School Board seat for a term of three years.
