The American Red Cross will hold an informational session for people interesting in learning about volunteer opportunities in the region.

The informational session will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Skowhegan Fire Department, 16 Island Ave., according to a news release from the American Red Cross of Maine.

Those who attend can learn more about the work of the Red Cross and find out how to become involved as a volunteer.
