The 32-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was walking down the street around 11:50 p.m. when he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette, Somerset County Sheriff Dale Lancaster said.

The man grabbed the cigarette as well as an undisclosed amount of cash the victim had in his hand and took off running, Lancaster said.

The theft is under investigation and police have a suspect. A description of the suspect was unavailable.
