Three local businesses were overlooked in the article appearing on Aug. 1 about Oakland’s Flower Project: John Marden at Marden’s, Greg LaPointe at Aubuchon Hardware and the Higgins and Bolduc Agency. With their financial and material support, we were able to plant flowers in more locations in Oakland, so I want to thank them all.
Jane Boucher and Daisy Girl Scout Troop 906 also were omitted. They were responsible for the flowers at Williams Elementary School and cared for plants in other areas when the volunteers were on vacation.
The project could not have happened without the support of all.
