Lore Ford, formerly of Kings Mills in Whitefield, recently was promoted to command sergeant major of the New Hampshire National Guard. Ford joined the Army in 1988 and served in Desert Storm with the 197th Infantry Brigade. Since then he has served a second tour in Iraq, and posts in Texas, Bosnia and Germany.
The son of Lore Ford III and Janette Helen Madsen, Ford graduated from Cony High School in 1988 and graduated magna cum laude from Southern New Mhampshire University in 2007. Prior to his promotion, Ford was the sergeant major in charge of recruiting for the New Hampshire Army National Guard.
Ford is married to the former Patricia Carl, and is the father of two daughters, Molly and Sophia. Ford and his wife reside in Concord, N.H.
