Legion, auxiliary gives $200 to safety fund
SKOWHEGAN — American Legion Post 16 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 16 recently donated $200 for bicycle safety, according to a news release from the town.
The donation, accepted by the Selectmen on Aug. 11, was donated to the Skowhegan Police Department to purchase bicycle safety helmets.
The helmets will be distributed to Skowhegan children in need.
