Sports news outlets are reporting that former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne has signed a one-year contract with the New England Patriots.
Sources including NESN, ESPN, the Boston Globe and NBC Sports say Wayne, a free agent after 14 seasons with Indianapolis, was brought to Foxborough for a physical Sunday.
ESPN said it is unclear whether Wayne, 36, also performed a workout for the coaching staff, or if the visit was strictly medical.
Wayne has enjoyed a Hall of Fame career with 1,070 receptions for 14,345 yards and 82 touchdowns during his time in Indianapolis. He’s been to six Pro Bowls and was named first-team All-Pro once.
