GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, Water Street, will present Capital City Improv at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $5 for children 17 and younger.

This improvisational comedy troupe uses audience suggestions to create a completely customized comedy show. Based in Augusta, Capital City Improv has been making people laugh with their quick witted, lighting fast short-form improvisation. Their 80-minute shows utilize the audience and their suggestions to create something that’s immediately funny! “This may be the best live improv show I have ever seen,” said Johnson Hall Executive Director Mike Miclon in a news release.

Capital City Improv was founded by well-known actor, producer and comedian Dennis Price and features local performers David Greenham and Liz Helitzer. Rounding out the group, from Ellsworth, are Jen Shepard and musical director, Larrance Fingerhut.
