A Saco police sergeant faces a charge of operating under the influence after his arrest earlier this month in Arundel.

Daniel Beaulieu, 41, of Limerick, was pulled over by a York County Sheriff’s deputy on Mountain Road at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 5, according to York County Sheriff Bill King. The deputy reported that Beaulieu was weaving in the road as he drove his Hyundai Sonata, King said.

Beaulieu was taken into custody and transported to the York County Jail where he was given an intoxilyzer test and released on personal recognizance, which means a signed promise to appear in court.

No booking photograph was taken and King would not say what Beaulieu’s blood alcohol content was. Beaulieu has an Oct. 27 court date.
