Augusta Bridge Club

AUGUSTA — Augusta duplicate bridge club winners for Wednesday were Nancy Lenfest and Liz Cross, Audrey and Carroll Harding, with a tie between Frank Shorey and Shirley West, and George Dumas and Jan Arey. Winners on Thursday were Fred Letourneau and Sharron Hinckley, Diane Bishop and Pat Damon, and Henry Lerette and Tom Simmons.

The club meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays at Granite Hill Estates, 60 Balsam Drive, Hallowell, and 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Kennebec Plaza, 20 Willow St., Augusta. All are welcome; a partner is guaranteed. For more information, call Janet Arey at 933-4984.

Fairfield Bridge Club

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield nonsanctioned bridge club winners on Tuesday for north/south were Barbara Terhune and Karen Torrey, who placed first; Carroll and Audrey Harding, second; and Paul and Judy Jones, third. East/west winners were Lorrie Letourneau and Beverly St. Germaine, who placed first; Bob and Justine Anglund, second; and Bill Lawry and Frances Roy. third.

HALLOWELL — Spectrum Generations William S. Cohen Community Center, announced its recent bridge winners.

Game day bridge winners on Sept. 9 were Dorothy Murray, who placed first; Sally Foster, second; and Joan McClay, third. Wednesday’s winners were Pat Leach, who placed first; Judy Canning, second; and Gloria Bilodeau, third.

Bridge winners Sept. 10 were Bill Moore, who placed first; Barbara Parish, second; and Lou Ashland, third. Thursday’s winners were Diane Grant, who placed first; Bill Moore, second; and Nora Quinn, third.
