SKOWHEGAN — The Skowhegan boys soccer team won its first game in 11 years, upsetting Messalonskee 2-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday.

David Rosado scored both goals for the Indians (1-6-0). Alex Paul and Kyle Davis had the assists.

Gavin Patton had 13 saves to earn the shutout.

“The look on the boys faces said it all,” Skowhegan coach Dillon Clark said. “They were extremely pumped, extremely proud and I think they’re psyched to see this keep going.”

Skowhegan came close to winning a game twice last season, finishing with a 0-12-2 record.

Messalonskee dropped to 3-3-1.

WINSLOW 6, MOUNT VIEW 0: Jimmy Fowler had four assists to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win in Winslow.

Jake Houghton, Isaac Lambrecht, Spencer Miranda, Cody Doughty, Justin Burgher and Noah Dugal all scored for Winslow (5-1-1).

Seth Davis had 16 saves for Mount View (1-6-0).

CHOP POINT 3, TEMPLE ACADEMY 2: Micah Ripotella and Brady Smith each had a goal and an assist for the Bereans in a loss to Chop Point in Waterville.

Tristan Richards had six saves for Temple (0-3-0).

Chop Point improved to 2-1-0.

WATERVILLE 9, NOKOMIS 1: Ethan Cayer scored four goals and had two assists to lead the Purple Panthers in a KVAC B game in Waterville.

Michael Oliveira scored two goals and added an assist. Ben Danner, Bridger Holly and Peter Mayhorn also scored for Waterville (5-1-1).

Colby Frederette scored the lone goal for Nokomis (1-5-0).

EDWARD LITTLE 5, LAWRENCE 0: Five different players scored to lead the Eddies to the KVAC A win in Auburn.

Mohammed Abdarda, Alex Thompson, Abdullah Jashami, Mohamed Jibil and Jacob Kyajohnian each scored a goal for Edward Little (2-3-2). Owen Muller made one save.

Max Marin stopped 16 shots for Lawrence (0-7-0).

GIRLS SOCCER

MESSALONSKEE 7, SKOWHEGAN 2: Lauren Pickett had a hat trick to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Edin Sisson added two goals and two assists for Messalonskee (5-2-0) while McKenna Brodeur added a goal and three assists. Ella Moore had the other goal and Taylor Easler made four saves.

Tracey Swanson scored both goals for Skowhegan (0-7-0) Tatumn Parker stopped 15 shots.

NOKOMIS 2, WATERVILLE 0: Austin Taylor had a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors in a KVAC B game in Newport.

Laura Freudenberger added a goal for Nokomis (4-2-0).

Waterville fell to 5-1-1.

MOUNT VIEW 0, WINSLOW 0, 2 OT: Jenni Nadeau had 17 saves as the Mustangs played to a tie with the Black Raiders in Thorndike.

Mount View moved to 3-3-1.

Hillary Libby had nine saves for Winslow (5-0-2).

EDWARD LITTLE 6, LAWRENCE 0: Emily Jacques and Piper Norcross each scored three goals to lift the Red Eddies in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Francesca-Beth Haines had six saves for EL (2-3-2) while Kayla Spencer had nine for Lawrence (16-0).

FIELD HOCKEY

MCI 2, ERSKINE 1: April McAlpine scored an unassisted goal with 14:47 left in the game to give the Huskies the KVAC B win in South China.

Addi Williams scored off an Allison Hughes assist for MCI (5-3) to open the game. Mikayla Carr made five saves.

Katelyn Hustus scored off an assist from Audrey Jordan to tie the game with 23:31 left in the second half for Erskine (2-5). Hannah Burns stopped two shots.

MOUNT VIEW 4, WATERVILLE 0: Megan Mikel scored three goals and Reanna Boulay added another to lead the Mustangs to the KVAC B victory in Thorndike.

Risa Fox and McKenna Gibbs had assists for the Mustangs (4-3). Colby Dangler had 16 saves for Waterville (0-7).

WINSLOW 0, OCEANSIDE 0: Delaney Wood had 10 saves for the Black Raiders, playing to a tie against the Mariners in Rockland.

Winslow moves to a 4-2-1 record.

Lauren Hoppe had 13 saves for Oceanside (2-4-1).

MT. BLUE 9, LEWISTON 0: Abby Wallace scored three goals to lead the Cougars in Lewiston.

Hannah Minns scored two goals, while Hannah LeClair, Leah St. Laurent, Rebecca Harmon and Adelle Foss each added goals for Mt. Blue (4-3-1).

Lewiston fell to 1-7-0.

SKOWHEGAN 6, BANGOR 0: Julia Steeves had three goals and two assists to pace the Indians to the KVAC A win in Bangor.

Cassidy Clement and Elizabeth York added a goal and an assist each for Skowhegan (7-1) while Brooke Michonski had the other goal. Leah Kruse made one save.

Kara Maheux stopped 21 shots for Bangor (0-8).
