AUGUSTA — Nancy Marshall Communications will host a Social Media Boot Camp on Thursday, Sept. 24, at Kaplan University, 14 Marketplace Drive, in Augusta for businesses and organizations that want to leverage the power of social media. The boot camp, sponsored by Mainebiz, will share tools, techniques and information on how to enhance social engagement and increase website traffic using the most popular platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram, according to a news release from Marshall.

Marshall, CEO of Nancy Marshall Communications, will be one of the three presenters.

“Social media is always changing and we feel this is a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to get a crash course about how to use social media and measure their success. Today, you have to be on social media to engage with your customers and target new ones. Our staff is excited to share our in-depth knowledge and provide a wide range of ideas and resources to the attendees,” said Marshall in the release.

The camp will take place from 8 a.m. to noon.

The event begins with a continental breakfast and networking at 8 a.m. Following breakfast, there will be an interactive education session with information about the advantages of the most popular social media platforms, tactics to engage with prospects and customers, best practices for posting, and how to show the value of having a presence on social media. Attendees will receive a social media resource guide.

Marshall, Account Executive Greg Glynn and Digital Marketing Manager John Van Pelt will be facilitating the interactive session.
