WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area, 304 Upper Main St., will offer Certified Hospice Volunteer Training to those interested in offering 2-4 hours a week to individuals and their families who are facing a life threatening illness. Training is set for 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 3 and 10; 5:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 5 and 12; and 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 7 and 14.
Volunteers will provide companionship, compassionate listening, respite for caregivers and bereavement support for family members, according to a news release from Hospice.
