Readfield is accepting applications in hopes of filling a vacant school board post.

John Blouin resigned Aug. 24, citing in his resignation letter the pressures of his real estate career.

He was elected in 2014, and his term was due to expire June 30, 2017.

Readfield’s interim town manager, Teresa Shaw, said an application form is available on the town’s website. She also said no one had applied for the post as of Thursday.

The town has three other representatives on the board of Regional School Unit 38, the Maranacook schools. They are Stephen Hayes, James Marr, and Shawn Roderick.
