AUGUSTA — Maine Strollathan, to benefit Rett syndrome, is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Capitol Park.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The event will include a raffle, games, snacks and more at 9 a.m., a stroll at 10 a.m., and Rick Charette concert at 11 a.m. It will conclude with the auction and raffle winners announced and closing remarks, according to a news release from organizers.

Donations will be accepted for Rettsyndrome.org. Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments affecting the child’s ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe, according to the website.
