While I do not get food stamps or any welfare services, I feel that people who worked hard all their life should be entitled to get help without taking all the savings they have as their security blanket.

I understand that they should not have four-wheelers, boats and motorcycles unless they are very old ones. But what if someone bought a new car, then became disabled or lost their job, would they have to sell it?

Medical bills can wipe out all savings (I know), and then people deserve some help.

These things should be thought out carefully. All cases are not the same.
