Allen, author of “History of Dresden, Maine,” was a complex man who led an interesting life. The Lincoln County Historical Association will host the event.

Leamon, who lives in Casco, is the author of “Revolution Downeast: The War for American Independence in Maine,” “The Reverend Jacob Bailey, Maine Loyalist or God, King, Country, and for Self” and “The Military Art of J. Thomas Leamon: Drawings, Paintings and More in the Wake of Two World Wars.”
