OAKLAND — Anny Hal Fenton and Neil J. Saward were married Aug. 29, 2015, at the bride’s childhood home in Oakland.

The bride is the daughter of Jill Rubinson, of Oakland, and David Fenton, of Portland, and Lyttelton, New Zealand.

The bridegroom is the son of Gillian and David Saward, of West Sussex, England.

Lauren Fiola Varma was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Loren Goodknight, Erin Haley Green, Christine Gurtler and Emily Sauer. Jasmine Higham, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Neil Whitehall, of West Sussex, England, was best man.

The reception also was held at the childhood home of the bride in Oakland.

A graduate of Messalonskee High School, Anny graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University. She received a master’s degree from Harvard University, where she is studying for her Ph.D. in sociology. Before attending Harvard University, Anny worked at PA Consulting Group in New York and at Seeds of Peace Camp in Maine.

Neil graduated with honors from Leeds University in the United Kingdom. He is a management consultant in the Boston office of the PA Consulting Group, London.

The couple took a short honeymoon trip to Scotland; they plan to take a longer one in the Maldives in December.

They live in Boston, Massachusetts.
