FARMINGDALE — Signe Lynch and Dani Sweet each scored to lift the Hall-Dale girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Mt. Abram in Mountain Valley Conference action Wednesday.
Lilly Ly assisted both goals. Hailey Taker stopped four shots for the Bulldogs (8-2-1).
Abby Brackely made eight saves for the Roadrunners (3-6-2).
MONMOUTH 3, BOOTHBAY 2: Haley Fletcher scored two goals, including the game-winner with 11 minutes left in regulation off a penalty kick, to lift the Mustangs to the MVC victory in Boothbay.
Maddie Bumann also scored for Monmouth (9-0-1) while Mikayla Cameron had seven saves.
Reagan Cola and Ella Spear scored goals for Boothbay (3-6-1), which led 2-1 at the half.
FIELD HOCKEY
BOOTHBAY 5, HALL-DALE 0: Nicole Rice scored two goals to spark the Seahawks to the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Sydney Meader, Lexi Lane and Kayla Lewis had the other goals for Boothbay (6-7). Hannah Witwicky stopped four shots.
Kaylee Magee made 18 saves for Hall-Dale (0-14).
MEN’S SOCCER
UMF 3, UMAINE-MACHIAS 3: Ibrahim Achekh scored two goals to help the Beavers (3-5-2) earn a draw in a non-conference game in Farmington.
Jairo Ulises-Castillo and Anthony Gonzalez scored for the Clippers (9-4-1).
UMF keeper Matt Wilson finished with 10 saves.
COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY
COLBY 5, HUSSON 1: The Mules scored four first-half goals on their way to the non-conference win in Bangor.
Megan Fortier scored twice for Colby (6-4) while Becca Moore, Eleanor Fitzgerald, McKayla Blanch each scored once. Sarah Evans and Riley Whitmyer combined to make 10 saves.
Lauren Russell scored for Husson (3-6). Anne Marie Provencal stopped six shots.
