WATERVILLE — The 25th annual Interfaith Memorial Service, hosted by Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area, is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Saint Joseph Maronite Church, 2 Appleton St.

This is a special service of remembrance designed for those who wish to remember their loved ones in a special way this holiday season. Those who attend will be given opportunity to come forward during the service to light a candle in memory of a loved one and share a short meaningful poem or reading at that time, according to a news release from the church. There will be someone available to light candles for those who are uncomfortable coming forward or are unable to attend.

Those who want to attend but do not have transportation, or wish to have a name read in their absence can call the hospice office at 873-3615 or email josborn@hvwa.org. A light supper will be served following the service.
