I have had the privilege to know and work alongside Ward 1 candidate Steve Soule for more than 16 years. I am pleased to hear that he is now running to represent that ward on Waterville City Council.

Steve has not only been a classroom teacher, school principal and teen mentor, but he also has been a role model for many students and adults. He has dedicated 33-plus years of his life to educating, inspiring and encouraging students and teachers alike to believe in themselves, strive for greatness and never give up.

Steve is a candidate who is skilled at bringing people together to solve challenging problems for the common good of all. He is fair, conscientious and committed to excellence.

Steve would be my first choice for a candidate to represent me and the town that I live in, and I urge Ward 1 residents to vote for him.
