A man was arrested Friday for allegedly assaulting three family members at the home they share in Chesterville.

Joshua J. Broughman, 28, was arrested on three counts of domestic violence assault after Deputies Andrew Morgan and Kevin Hartley, of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a complaint of a domestic argument on Stinchfield Hill Road, Lt. David St. Laurent said.

The family members called 911 after an argument involving Broughman turned physical, St. Laurent said. It is alleged that during the argument, Broughman assaulted three family members, though none of them needed medical attention, he said.

St. Laurent could not clarify the familial relationship between Boughman and the three others, but he confirmed that they were all family members who resided at the Stinchfield Hill Road residence with Boughman.

Boughman is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash bond at the Franklin County Jail and was scheduled to appear for arraignment from the jail Tuesday, a Franklin County District Court clerk said.
