MONMOUTH — Sidney Wilson scored with 24:38 remaining in the game to lift Monmouth past Mountain Valley 2-1 in Mountain Valley Conference girls soccer action Wednesday.
Haley Fletcher assisted the game-winning goal. Izzy Lewis had the other goal for Monmouth (10-2-1) with Taylor Spadfora credited with the assist. Mikayla Cameron stopped seven shots.
Leann McNally scored for the Falcons (7-4-1). Karen Flaherty made 14 saves.
RICHMOND 5, PINE TREE 0: Kelsea Anair scored four goals to spark the Bobcats to the win in Portland.
Meranda Martin had the other goal for Richmond (11-1-0). Destiny Anair and Kyla Johanssen each had an assist. Sydney Tilton and Kennedy Chandler combined to make one save.
Stephanie Kagumba stopped 14 shots for Pine Tree.
BOYS SOCCER
WISCASSET 3, WINTHROP 0: Kevin Lynch scored twice to spark the Wolverines to the MVC win in Winthrop.
Chase Reed added a goal and an assist for Wiscasset (3-8-1) while Sam Strozier made 12 saves.
Jackson Ladd stopped 19 shots for Winthrop (2-8-2).
DIRIGO 2, OAK HILL 2: Andrew Davis and Kyle Beauparlant each scored as the Raiders settled for an MVC tie in Wales.
Kaleb Morissette made seven saves for Oak Hill (0-10-2).
Ben Buck scored both goals for Dirigo. Brandon L’Italien made five saves.
