Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine’s 2015 Golf Fore Kids’ Sake, presented by Kennebec Savings Bank, raised $33,585 to benefit school and community-based mentoring services for children in Kennebec and Somerset counties.

Twenty-three teams competed in the tournament, held Sept. 4 at Belgrade Lakes Golf Club, according to a news release from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine.

The event was presented by Kennebec Savings Bank as Invitational Sponsor, and event sponsor Charlie’s Family of Dealerships, in partnership with more than 100 contributing partner businesses and organizations. This year’s successful benefit tournament was chaired by Nicolas Patenaude, from Kennebec Savings Bank.

2015 Golf Fore Kids’ Sake Tournament Winners:

1st Gross — Jason Gall, Ed Gall, Mark Plummer and Dave Brewster (Wendy’s)

2nd Gross — Charlie Shuman, Steve Shuman, Roger Williams, Ryan Madore (Charlie’s Family of Dealerships)

1st Net — David Mayberry, Zlatko Necevski and Alex Gaeth (Mayberry Builders)

2nd Net — Jeff Gardiner, Ralph Vintinner, John Michaud and Glenn Thrasher (Huhtamaki)

3rd Net — Nate Cotnoir, Craig Day, Garrett Prelgovisk and John Quigley (Camden National Bank)

Straighest Drive — Ryan Madore (United Insurance)

Closest to the Pin Contest — Gary Schewe (Great Falls Marketing)

Putting Contest — Phil McCabe (Kennebec Valley Federal Credit Union)

Hit the Green Contest — Amy Heseltine (Aetna)

The first time ever at the tournament, Gary Schewe, of Great Falls Marketing, made a hole-in-one on hole five and won an iPad from Charlie’s Family of Dealerships, according to the release.

An online and live auction raised more than $5,000.
