AUGUSTA — The Fred Craigie Meditation Labyrinth at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta will be formally dedicated from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. All are welcome to attend and experience a group meditation walk. The labyrinth is next to the rustic trail at the Alfond Center for Health, near the staff parking lot, according to a news release from MaineGeneral Health.

The labyrinth honors Fred Craigie, Ph.D., who recently retired after 37 years as faculty member at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency Program — the longest in the program’s history. Craigie will continue to coordinate the annual Nevola Symposium on Spirituality and Health and pursue other interests in the field of spiritual wellbeing.

For questions, email Barbara Moss, DO, labyrinth project coordinator, at barbara.moss@mainegeneral.org.
