FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — On to Miami.

The New England Patriots weren’t even dry out of the shower Sunday afternoon when their focus was already shifting.

The Patriots beat the New York Jets 30-23 at Gillette Stadium to remain unbeaten at 6-0, but they have a quick turnaround because they face the suddenly hot Miami Dolphins on Thursday night in another AFC East showdown, also at Gillette.

“Thinking about them right now,” said defensive end Chandler Jones, as he tied his shoes at his locker. “I’ll start watching film tonight. I’ll watch the game they played today. They played a good game against Houston (a 44-27 win over Houston, in which they led 41-0 at the half).

“I saw that at halftime, I was looking (at the Dolphins score).”

It’s never easy to get ready for a Thursday night game. Bodies take time to heal, and three days just isn’t enough.

But the Patriots said they have to be ready for a team that is coming in on a high.

Since Dan Campbell became interim head coach, the Dolphins have won two in a row and are playing like the team everyone thought they would be.

“It’s definitely quick,” linebacker Rob Ninkovich said of the turnaround.

“You’ve got to make sure you’re taking care of your body and doing the best you can to get to 100 percent and go out there and play tough.”

Danny Amendola, who sparked the Patriots’ offense against the Jets with some clutch catches, said he would start preparing Sunday night.

“That’s what it is when you play on Thursday,” he said. “No matter what, we’ve got to be ready, got to be prepared.”

Jones said it will be no easier for the Dolphins.

“We just have to put our nose to the grindstone and get ready,” he said.

“We’ve done it before. And we just have to be ready. It’s the same for Miami. They played today. They have a quick turnaround too. So it’s fair.”

Ninkovich said the win over the Jets was nice, but there’s no time to dwell on it.

“Again, very happy with the win, 6-0, it’s a good feeling,” he said. “But we’ve got to turn the page, right?”

BRADY MILESTONES: Sunday’s start was the 213th of Tom Brady’s career, setting the franchise record. He had shared the record with former tackle Bruce Armstrong.

Brady also became just the fifth NFL player to reach 55,000 career passing yards.

Needing 43 yards to pass the milestone, he reached it in the second quarter. Brady finished the game with 55,312 career passing yards.

Only Brett Favre (71,838), Peyton Manning (71,215), Dan Marino (61,361) and Drew Brees (57,904) have more.

This was Brady’s 68th career game with at least 300 passing yards, third-best in NFL history behind Manning (92) and Brees (90).

The Patriots do well when Brady throws for over 300 yards, going 57-11.

As far as leading the team in rushing Sunday with 15 yards, Brady said, “I better enjoy this because it will probably never happen again.”

Brady gained 11 yards on a scramble up the middle on third-and-10 from the Jets 13. That set up his own 1-yard touchdown sneak.

“They had pretty good coverage and I just saw a little seam,” said Brady.

“So I just kind of rumbled toward the goal line, and it’s good when I have the threat of the ball in my hand because they’re not quite sure if they can go drill me or not. I just try to keep pump-faking as long as I can to keep them all at bay.”

ROB GRONKOWSKI’S clinching touchdown was the 60th of his career, making him the third-fastest player in NFL history to at least 60 touchdown catches.

He reached that total in just 71 games, making him the fastest tight end to do it.

Gronkowski’s 11 catches (for 108 yards) were a career high. His previous high was nine, done three times.

DROPPED BALLS were a big part of the game, with New England’s Brandon LaFell dropping six passes in his season debut.

Julian Edelman also dropped a sure touchdown pass.

But the biggest drop of the game might have been by New York’s Brandon Marshall.

With the Jets leading 17-16 and facing third-and-7 from the New England 12, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw to Marshall in the end zone.

He reached out but couldn’t hold on to the pass, and the Jets had to settle for a 20-yard field goal from Nick Folk that gave them a 20-16 lead.

New England promptly drove down the field and regained the lead seven minutes later.

“Absolutely, that is all on me,” Marshall said when asked if he should have caught the pass. “If I make that play, it puts us in a better position. I didn’t make the play and it but our team in a bad situation. You have to make those plays in games like this, so it is all on me.”

LaFell, meanwhile, was equally harsh on himself.

“If I had to give myself a grade it would be an ‘F’.” he said. “I let the ball get out of my hands too many times. Tom threw some good balls. I should have caught them.”

THE PATRIOTS found themselves short-handed at a couple positions after the inactive lists were released. Running backs Dion Lewis (abdomen) and Brandon Bolden (hamstring) were both out. Bolden’s absence also affected special teams, where he is one of the team’s core players.

The offensive line also had two players out. Marcus Cannon (toe) and Shaq Mason (knee) were both inactive. While veteran Ryan Wendell was active for the first time this season, he got little playing time, as the Patriots went with Sebastian Vollmer and second-year player Cameron Fleming at the tackles, rookie David Andrews at center, and third-year pro Josh Kline and rookie Tre’ Jackson at guard.
