When it comes to accomplishments, almost anyone can rattle off many things they are proud of. Political deeds that do more than espouse lip service from the left or the right are very rare. Attacks not only between rival political factions but also within the social fabric of the very communities within which we live, makes it seem that the only way to get things done is to obey the words of special interest.

When someone comes along and votes with an ideology that focus on what is best for the community and not party interest, well that is uncommon as well as a political good deed that benefits all.

Karen Rancourt-Thomas, Ward 7, city councilor, has bucked the party line on many occasions, with a truthfulness that states that she votes for everyone and for what is right. This November, everyone’s vote does count — make that vote for Rancourt-Thomas.
