MADISON — Kayla Bess scored two goals and Aisha Malloy put the Madison girls soccer team in front to stay 26 minutes into the second half as the second-seeded Bulldogs held off No. 7 Lisbon 3-1 in a Class C South soccer quarterfinal Tuesday.

Madison (11-1-3) will host No. 6 Waynflete (12-4-0) in the semifinals at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Bess gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead 22 minutes into the game assisted by Ashley Emory. Deliah Schreiber tied it for Lisbon two minutes later and the game remained knotted 1-1 at halftime.

Bess added an insurance goal with two minutes remaining in the game

Erin Whalen made four saves in net for the Bulldogs. Alexandra Sult stopped 14 shots for the Greyhounds (9-7-0).

PRESQUE ISLE 3, WATERVILLE 2: Taylor Williams scored two goals, including the eventual game-winner off a direct kick with four minutes left in regulation, to lift No. 6 Presque Isle to the Class B quarterfinal victory.

No. 3 Waterville, which lost attacking midfielder and captain Jordan Jabar in the first half with an injury, finished 11-2-2.

Mackenzie St. Pierre and Sophie Webb scored for the Purple Panthers

Gabi Martin had 12 saves for Waterville while Flynn had 13 for the Wildcats.

CAMDEN HILLS 7, MT. BLUE 0: Eliza Roy scored twice and assisted on Bryn Anderson’s goal, and Charlotte Messer added two goals as the top-seeded Windjammers (14-0-1) downed ninth-ranked Mt. Blue (8-7-1) in a Class B North quarterfinal at Rockport.

Emma Gutheinz added a goal and added an assist.
