Are you a serious home baker? Learn the techniques of Old World bakers and bake “ancient loaves” using rye, wheat, buckwheat, corn and barley at the Maine Grain Alliance’s Old World Bakery Workshop Nov. 8-10 in Skowhegan.

This hands-on workshop will be held at the Maine Grain Alliance Research Kitchen at 42 Court St., and begins at 3 p.m. Nov. 8. The cost is $250 and includes dinner on Sunday, breakfast and lunch both days, with a social hour and dinner on Monday evening.
