FARMINGTON — Rebbeca Young scored the game-winning goal, lifting the University of Maine at Farmington to a 2-1 win over Thomas College and into the North Atlantic Conference championship game.

Young’s game-winner came with five minutes left. Her first shot hit the post, and her follow up was saved. On her second rebound chance, Young found the back of the cage, giving the Beavers the lead.

Thomas (8-9) took a 1-0 lead on a first-half goal by Emily Leighton. UMF tied the game when Andrea Stemm scored off a penalty corner in the 58th minute.

Patty Smith made three saves for UMF (10-4). Abby Charrier made six stops for the Terriers.

UMF will play Husson in the conference championship game next Saturday.

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 5, UMF 1: Jaycie Triandafilou scored four goals to lead New England College to the North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal win over UMF, in Henniker, N.H.

Bridget Humphrey scored for UMF (7-10-1). Kiana Thompson made five saves for the Beavers.

Mackenzie Meegan made one save for the Pilgrims (9-10-1).
