PRESQUE ISLE — No. 10 Erskine Academy continued its run through the Class B North boys soccer tournament, taking a 1-0 win over No. 3 Presque Isle when Caleb Barden made a penalty kick.

Erskine (13-4-0) will play at No. 1 Ellsworth (13-2-1) for the regional championship on Wednesday.

Denver Cullivan made five saves in the game for Erskine. Takoda McGraw was in net for the Eagles during the penalty kicks. Presque Isle made its first and fifth kicks.

Jake Suga, Grayson Petty, and Alex Cleaves also made penalty kicks for Erskine.

GIRLS SOCCER

OCEANSIDE 6, GARDINER 0: Top-seeded Mariners (14-0-2) broke away from a scoreless tie with six goals in the second half, including three by Makenna Brooks, to beat the 12th-seeded Tigers in a Class B North semifinal at Rockland.

Gabby Straka, Lily McVetty and Abby Veilleux also scored for Oceanside, which will play No. 2 Hermon for the regional title on Wednesday.
