FARMINGDALE — The Farmingdale Spirit of America and the members of the Farmingdale Historical Society will host an awards night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Town Office.
The awards will honor Linda Leet and Jon Lambert for their many years serving on the school board.
A Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to J & S Oil Co. for the company’s many acts of kindness to residents of Farmingdale.
The Boston Cane will be given to the town’s oldest resident Hilda Brooks, 95. A certificate will be awarded to Brooks and her name will be placed on the Boston Post Cane plaque that is on display at the Town Office. She will be the second recipient in recent years to receive the cane.
Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
