WATERVILLE — Sustain Mid Maine Coalition’s Public Policy Team will host a meet the area legislators at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in the REM Forum Room, 93 Main St.

The purpose of the meeting is to share what Sustain Mid-Maine Coalition volunteers have been able to accomplish since its inception in 2009 and to share the hope that the organization can continue that productive relationship in the future.

The meeting will open with a statement of some key facts about the current state of action on climate change to provide a sense of context. Following that, Sustain Mid Maine Coalition team leaders will provide a sampling of the kinds of things that have been accomplished and how state legislation has been helpful in empowering the group.

This will be following by hearing from legislators in attendance on their sense of some opportunities presented by the upcoming legislative session for further progress. There will be time for questions and comments from the floor.
