AUGUSTA — A city woman was indicted Friday by a grand jury in Kennebec County on charges of aggravated drug trafficking and theft.

Samantha E. Tupper, 23, is charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine July 28 in Randolph and two counts of aggravated trafficking in cocaine base July 30 in Augusta and theft by unauthorized taking Aug. 1, also in Augusta.

An indictment is not a determination of guilt, but it indicates that there is enough evidence to proceed with formal charges and a trial.

A number of other people were indicted Friday by the same grand jury:

• Michael Edward Algiere, 29, of Oakland, theft by unauthorized taking June 6 in Augusta.

• Scott R. Andrews, 56, of Augusta, domestic violence assault and terrorizing Aug. 27 in Augusta.

• Nathan Stanley Bernheisel, 35, of West Gardiner, assault on an officer June 29 in Augusta.

• Kristopher Earl Brill, 38, of Farmingdale, unlawful trafficking of more than one pound of marijuana and marijuana cultivation June 30 in West Gardiner.

• Jeremy D. Chartrand, 40, of Waterville, stealing drugs July 15 in Waterville.

• Nathan Thomas Cloutier-Linton, 23, of Augusta, four counts of theft by unauthorized taking and three counts of violation of condition of release May 30-Sept. 25 in Augusta and Waterville.

• Traci L. Cultrera, 49, of Hope, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer July 11 in Augusta.

• Derek R. Gagne, 28, of Waterville, operating after revocation March 23 in Waterville.

• Carl Daniel Glidden, 35, of Gardiner, operating after revocation Aug. 22 in Gardiner.

• Ronald L. Granger, 30, of Augusta, two counts of unlawful trafficking in heroin July 28 and Aug. 25: unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of cocaine base Sept. 10, all in Augusta.

• Fatiema M. Green, 28, of Waterville, theft by unauthorized taking July 23 in Waterville.

• Teneitra M. Grenier, 34, of Monmouth, acquiring drugs by deception, forgery and violation of condition of release July 27 in Winthrop; theft by unauthorized taking July 1-27 in Augusta.
