More than 70 people gathered Sunday night at Temple Beth El in Augusta for an interfaith Thanksgiving service, sponsored by the Capital Area Multi-faith Association. Ten faith leaders participated in the service which highlighted the history of native peoples in the state of Maine and how their land, culture and language was taken from them. The service lifted up the truth of our history and explored how we can move forward together towards a new understanding of Thanksgiving.
