UNITY — Unity Barn Raisers recently received a $11,680 grant from Grants to Green Maine, a partnership between the Maine Development Foundation’s Maine Downtown Center, Efficiency Maine and the Maine Community Foundation to provide energy efficiency upgrades to the Unity Community Center in Downtown Unity.

“This grant will enable Unity Barn Raisers to begin completing much needed energy upgrades to our Community Center” Programs Director Mary Leaming said in a UBR news release. “High heating and electricity bills create a hardship on our annual operating budget. Decreasing these expenses will assure that we can dedicate funds to continue to provide the services and programs that benefit our community.”
