DRESDEN — Kelley and Joe Cowing, of Dresden, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Madison Lauren McCutcheon, to Jacob Robert Longfellow, son of Kimberly and Alden Longfellow, of Farmingdale.

Madison, of Dresden, is a graduate of Husson University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She plans to graduate in 2016 with Masters in Occupational Therapy, also from Husson University.

Jacob, of Farmingdale, is a graduate of the University of Maine, where he received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. He is finishing Masters in Microbiology at the University of Maine, in Orono, and shortly after plans to attend medical school.

A July 2016 wedding is planned.
