AUGUSTA — The Viles Arboretum will host a six-part nature writing workshop with instructor Andrea Lani. The workshop will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 19 and 26, and Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23.
Lani has a bachelor of arts degree in human ecology and an MFA in creative writing. She is certified as a Maine Master Naturalist.
Her writing about the natural world has appeared in, or is forthcoming from, Orion, Northern Woodlands, About Place Journal, Kindred and Snowy Egret, among others, and she has completed an illustrated guide to the seasons at the arboretum which will soon be available for purchase in the gift shop.
