KENTS HILL — Kiara Carr scored a game-high 33 points and Selam Heinrich added 10 to lead the Temple girls basketball team to a 65-37 win over Kents Hill on Wednesday night.

Temple improved to 4-2 while Kents Hill dropped to 1-2.

Catherine Sanborn scored 20 points to lead the Huskies (1-2).

VALLEY 44, GPC 29: Kendra Sweet scored 10 points and Haven Mayhew added nine to lead the Cavaliers (5-5) in South Portland. Clarissa Jones scored 15 points to pace Greater Portland Christian (5-4).

BOYS BASKETBALL

VALLEY 72, GPC 34: Cody Laweryson scored 28 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five assists as the Cavaliers cruised in South Portland. Collin Miller grabbed 15 points and scored six points while Austin Cates contributed 11 points, four steals and three blocks for the Cavaliers (10-0).

David Davol scored 17 points to lead Greater Portland Christian (4-6).
