JAY — Heather Kervin scored 20 points and Paige Trask added 10 as the Winslow girls basketball team edged Spruce Mountain 54-46 in double overtime Friday night.

“It was a crazy game,” Winslow coach Lindsey Withee said. “It was a great atmosphere. It was a back and forth game from the start. Just crazy.”

The Raiders (8-2) forced a second overtime when Trask buried two free throws with 11 seconds left in the first overtime.

Trask and Ciara Leclair each then scored three points in the second overtime to lift the Raiders.

Alex Bessey scored 14 points and Riley Moore added 10 for the Phoenix (2-7).

LEAVITT 32, MT. BLUE 29: Sophia Gilbert scored nine points to lead a balanced offense for the Hornets in Turner.

Chantel Eells added eight points for Leavitt (4-6).

Caitlin Kane scored 10 points to lead Mt. Blue (3-5) while Eryn Doiron added seven.

TEMPLE 48, VALLEY 31: Kiara Carr scored 23 points to spark Temple in Bingham.

Delaney Carr added 10 points for Temple (5-2).

Charlie Savoy scored eight points and Samantha West six to lead the Cavaliers (5-6).

RICHMOND 37, FOREST HILLS 32: Sydney Tilton had eight points, nine rebounds and three steals to pace the host Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.

Kelsea Anair added 10 points, four assists and four rebounds for Richmond (8-0) while Meranda Martin had five points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Linda Riley led Forest Hills (6-4) with 18 points.

RANGELEY 55, VINALHAVEN 35: Blayke Morin stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, nine rebounds, five steals and four assists as the Lakers handed the Vikings their first loss of the season.

Sydney Royce finished with a game-high 18 points to go along with five steals and three assists for Rangeley (9-1).

Skyler Sanborn paced Vinalhaven (7-1) with 10 points.

MESSALONSKEE 69. CONY 43: McKenna Brodeur (19) and Sophie Holmes (18) combined for 37 points to help the Eagles pick up a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory in Oakland.

Ally Turner and Taylor Easler also finished in double figures for Messalonskee (8-1) with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Haley Ward had 16 points to pace Cony (2-7).

MT. ABRAM 38, HALL-DALE 34: Marya Beede scored 12 points to lead the Roadrunners to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in Salem.

Summer Ross added nine points for Mt. Abram (3-7).

Dani Sweet led Hall-Dale (4-7) with 11 points.

WINSLOW 60, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 57: The Black Raiders scored all their points from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to hold off the Phoenix and earn the KVAC win in Winslow.

Trenton Bouchard scored six of his 15 points in the fourth for Winslow (7-3) while Dylan Hutchinson added five of his 12 in the period. Justin Burgher chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds. The Black Raiders were 15 for 22 from the foul line in the fourth quarter.

Spruce Mountain (4-6) was led by Caulin Parker with 24 points.

MT. BLUE 66, LEAVITT 51: The Cougars raced out to a 39-20 lead by halftime on their way to their first win of the season in a KVAC contest in Farmington.

Zach Mittelstadt and Evan Backus led the charge for Mt. Blue (1-8) with 24 and 23 points, respectively.

Eli Calder had a team-high 12 points for Leavitt (0-9).

VALLEY 77, TEMPLE 34: Cody Laweryson posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers raced past Temple in Bingham.

Dillon Beane just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds for Valley (11-0), while Austin Cates finished with 14 points and Luke Malloy notched eight assists.

Wynn Kanagy had nine points to lead Temple (1-7).

ERSKINE 58, BELFAST 45: Sophomore Noah Bonsant had 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Eagles to the KVAC win in South China.

Takoda McGraw pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with four points for Erskine (3-6) while Caleb Barden added 12 points.

Belfast (4-5) was led by Derek Hamlin with 13 points and Stanley Sturgis with 12.

MADISON 84, OAK HILL 40: Chase Malloy scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures as the Bulldogs rolled to the MVC victory.

Malloy also grabbed nine rebounds and had five steals for Madison (9-2).

Mitch Jarvais had a big night as well and finished with 15 points, five assists and five steals. Matt Oliver (14 points), Ty Greene (11) and Noah Shibey (10) also finished in double digits.

Dalton Therrien scored 11 points to lead the Raiders (2-9).

HALL-DALE 81, MT. ABRAM 40: Tyler Nadeau had a game-high 15 points to go along with six rebounds and as many assists in the Bulldogs’ MVC win over the Roadrunners at Penny Memorial Gymnasium.

Alec Byron and Jett Boyer added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for Hall-Dale (6-5), while Josh Berberich chipped in with six points and eight rebounds.

Dan Luce and Trevor Chaput each had 10 points for Mt. Abram (2-9).

VINALHAVEN 55, RANGELEY 42: Lewis Cray scored a game-high 17 points as the Vikings pulled away from the Lakers in the second half for an East/Wast Conference victory in Vinalhaven.

Keon Arey added 13 points for Vinalhaven (5-5) in the win.

Kyle LaRochelle had 12 points to pace Rangeley (4-6), who trailed 27-23 at the half.

RICHMOND 60, FORESTS HILLS 34: The host Bobcats jumped out to a 29-11 halftime lead and never looked back on their way to the East/West Conference victory.

Matt Holt and Zach Small each scored 13 points to pace Richmond (5-2).

Brandon Gilboe scored a game-high 16 points for Forest Hills (4-6) while Aaron Moffitt chipped in 10.
