WINSLOW — Camden Hills scored with 2:10 remaining in the third period to deal the Messalonskee hockey team a 5-4 loss and its second defeat in a row Saturday at Sukee Arena.

The Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on two goals from Brandon Nale and one from Jared Cunningham. Camden stormed back to pull within 3-2 on goals by James Orne and Kieren Lydon to end the period. The teams traded goals in the second period when Nick Czuchra scored for Camden followed by a Sam Bell goal for Messalonskee before Jonah Cameron tied the game at the 14:45 mark of the second. Perrin Bonnor-Gantor then scored the game-winning goal off assists from Cameron and Matt Prescott.

Eli Michaud made 24 saves and Amber Kochaver seven for Messalonskee (5-2-1). Zach Hand stopped 24 shots for Camden Hills (7-2-0).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

LAWRENCE 61, WATERVILLE 30: Nia Irving had 27 points and 22 rebounds to spark the Bulldogs to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Fairfield.

Dominique Lewis added 10 points and five assists for Lawrence (10-0).

Jordan Jabar scored 19 points to lead Waterville (4-7).

RANGELEY 48, VINALHAVEN 38: Blayke Morin had 18 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and three assists to lead the Lakers to the East/West Conference win in Vinalhaven.

Maddison Egan and Sydney Royce had 10 points apiece while Natasha Haley chipped in five steals and five rebounds for Rangeley (10-1).

Gilleyanne Davis-Oakes led Vinalhaven (7-2) with 13 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LAWRENCE 64, WATERVILLE 42: Mason Cooper scored a game-high 19 points and Seth Powers added 18 points to lead Lawrence to the KVAC victory in Fairfield.

Kyle Robinson added 12 points for the Bulldogs (5-5). Justin Kornsey led the Purple Panthers (3-8) with eight points while Michael Nigro and Devin Lebrun added seven apiece.

RANGELEY 53, VINALHAVEN 44: Kyle LaRochelle poured in 23 points as Rangeley salvaged a split of a weekend series at Vinalhaven.

Carl Trafton added 12 points for the Lakers (5-6). Lewis Cray paced Vinalhaven (5-4) with 23 points.
