The Augusta Police Department will hold a rabies clinic from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Hospital Street Fire Station, 40 Hospital St., Augusta.

Rabies shots for dogs and cats will cost $12.

Dog licensing will be available for Augusta residents. The cost is $6 for spayed or neutered dogs and $11 for non-spayed or non-neutered dogs.

Microchipping is available for $25 by Kennebec Valley Humane Society.

The rabies clinic is open to residents of all cities and towns.

All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be contained in carriers.

Owners are reminded to bring their pet’s previous rabies vaccination records (certificates).
