Gov. Paul LePage will hold his next town hall-style meeting in Windham on Tuesday.

LePage is scheduled to appear at Windham High School from 6 to 7 p.m, according to information released by his office Wednesday. The event is part of a statewide tour LePage began last year during which he lays out his platform for reducing taxes, reforming welfare, lowering energy costs and addressing the state’s opiate drug crisis.

The governor typically speaks for the first part of the meeting and then answers questions from the crowd.

The Windham event comes roughly two weeks after LePage made national headlines when he told the crowd at a similar town hall in Bridgton that some out-of-state drug traffickers “impregnate a young white girl before they leave” Maine. While the governor later labeled the comment as a verbal slip-up, others saw racial undertones in the remark, which drew national media attention.

Windham High School is located at 406 Gray Road.
