ORONO — Nick Denis, Justin Wentworth and Andrew Rodrigue each scored twice to pace the Waterville hockey team past Old Town/Orono 9-1 in a Class B North game Wednesday night.
Michael Oliveira, Cody Pellerin and Matt Joliceour each had a goal and two assists for Waterville (9-0-1). Nathan Pinnette made 14 saves while Logan Kearney stopped eight shots.
Nick Boutin scored off an assist from Austin Sheehan for Old Town/Orono (4-4-0). Chase Albert made 42 saves.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
OXFORD HILLS 59, MT. BLUE 30: Tianna Sugars scored 19 points to spark the Vikings in South Paris.
Erin Morton added 15 points for Oxford Hills (7-3).
Eryn Doiron led Mt. Blue (3-6) with 12 points while Caitlin Kane had eight points, five rebounds, three steals, three assists and two blocks.
BOYS BASKETBALL
KENTS HILL 72, BREWSTER 69: Junior Tory Brown made two free throws with 2.3 seconds left in the game to lift the Huskies to the win in Kents Hill.
Trevor Guity finished with 23 points to lead Kents Hill (4-5) while Tory Brown and Luke Arsenault each scored 17.
Brewster fell to 2-5.
HALL-DALE J58, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 19: Jett Boyer connected on four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 18 points as Hall-Dale rolled to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in Rumford.
Josh Berberich added eight points, 19 rebounds and four assists in the win, while Nate Mills chipped in with either points and 10 rebounds. Quinn Stebbins buried three 3-pointers for nine points for Hall-Dale (7-5).
Ryley Flynn had 15 points for Mountain Valley (1-9) in the loss.
