Online registration for the 19th TD Beach to Beacon 10K road race will be held Thursday, March 10, for Cape Elizabeth residents and Friday, March 11, for others who want to participate in this year’s race on Saturday, Aug. 6.
A total of 600 entries are reserved for Cape Elizabeth residents, who can register at the race website — www.beach2beacon.org — starting at 7 a.m. March 10. Another 4,000 entries will be accepted the following day, again starting at 7 a.m.
Registration for non-Cape residents has closed in less than five minutes each of the past three years. In 2015, the 4,000 spots were filled in just 4 minutes, 15 seconds.
The entry fee is $50.
A lottery will be held March 22 for those who don’t register on March 10 and 11. Runners can sign up from March 11 through 20 for one of 1,950 lottery entries. The lottery fee is $5 and does not include the cost of the race entry. Lottery winners will be announced on the race website.
Entry transfers will be allowed from April 1 through June 30 for a $5 fee. The 600 Cape Elizabeth entries can only be transferred to Cape residents.
