DOVER FOXCROFT — The Slightly Off-Center Players and the Center Theatre for the Performing Arts seeks directors and actors to present one-act plays at the theatre Feb. 26-28. The one acts will be performed along with Foxcroft Academy’s one-act play, “Cheating Death,” written by Kamron Klitgaard and directed by Derrick Buschmann.

Death and Shakespeare is the theme this year’s one acts.

Those interested should contact Wendy Voter to discuss ideas and sign up. There is no minimum length for the proposed pieces, though all must run less than 30 minutes. Rehearsal schedule and production royalties will be the responsibility of the director. Rehearsals can begin as soon as the director has a cast. The theatre will be available for rehearsals depending on their existing schedule. All one acts will begin tech rehearsals Feb. 24 at the Center Theatre.

For more information, contact the Center Theatre at 564-8943 or visit centertheatre.org.

The theatre is a nonprofit performing arts venue dedicated to making the arts a part of life in the Maine Highlands and is celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2016.
