BETHEL — The Hall-Dale boys basketball team knocked down eight 3-pointers and raced out to a 14-point lead by halftime on its way to a 72-46 win over Telstar in a Mountain Valley Conference game played in Bethel.

Tyler Nadeau paced four Bulldogs in double figures with 16 points, while Nate Mills had 13, Jett Boyer 12 and Alec Byron 10. Josh Berberich chipped in with six points and 11 rebounds for Hall-Dale (8-5).

Blake Rothwell and Jarett Bean paced Telstar (3-8) with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

HALL-DALE 43, TELSTAR 32: Kayla Johnson scored 11 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the Bulldogs picked up a MVC win over the Rebels in Bethel.

Thea and Dani Sweet each scored eight points for Hall-Dale (4-7), who led 29-10 at the half.

Becca Howard paced Telstar (0-11) with 12 points.

WINSLOW 53, MARANACOOK 29: The Black Raiders outscored the Black Bears 21-8 in the second quarter on their way to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Winslow.

Heather Kervin led the way for Winslow (9-3) with 25 points while Delaney Wood finished with 10.

Jana Elwell and Justice Merrill each had six points for Maranacook (0-11).

MONMOUTH 57, LISBON 40: Tia Day scored 18 points and Abbey Alen added 13 to lead Monmouth.

Sidney Wilson scored 10 points for Monmouth (11-2) as well.

Breann Sautter scored 15 points to pace Lisbon (6-7).

BOOTHBAY 67, WINTHROP 13: Faith Blethen scored 18 points and Page Brown added 17 to lead Boothbay to the MVC victory. Hannah Morley added nine points for the Seahawks (12-1).

Winthrop dropped to 1-11.
