SALEM — The Madison girls basketball team outscored Mt. Abram 20-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 58-38 win in a Mountain Valley Conference game Friday night.

Kayla Bess had 18 points to pace the Bulldogs (9-4) while Madeline Wood chipped in with 10 points.

Freshman Summer Ross had a team-high 11 points for Mt. Abram (3-10).

VALLEY 49, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 30: Delaney Davis scored 14 points and Jordan Belanger added 11 as the Cavaliers rolled past GPC in Bingham.

Samantha West contributed six points to the Cavs (6-6) as well.

Kaeley Brann scored 15 points to lead GPC (5-6).

LAWRENCE 81, SKOWHEGAN 38: Domi Lewis led a Lawrence offense that made 10 3-pointers as the Bulldogs rolled over their KVAC rivals in Fairfield.

Lewis made six 3-pointers to finish with 20 points. Camryn Caldwell added three threes to finish with 13 points, while Nia Irving once again dominated the paint with 28 points and 17 rebounds for the Bulldogs (13-0). Alyssa Everett led the Indians (5-7) with 38 points.

TEMPLE 51, NORTH HAVEN 35: Kiara Carr scored 26 points and Selam Heinrich added 11 to lead Temple in Waterville.

Deleyni Carr added 10 points for Temple (6-3) as well.

Maddie Hallowell scored 18 points to lead North Haven (1-9).

WINSLOW 53, MARANACOOK 29: The Black Raiders outscored the Black Bears 21-8 in the second quarter on their way to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Winslow.

Heather Kervin led the way for Winslow (9-3) with 25 points while Delaney Wood finished with 10.

Jana Elwell and Justice Merrill each had six points for Maranacook (0-11).

BOYS BASKETBALL

TEMPLE 60, NORTH HAVEN 20: Temple held the Hawks to just seven points after the first quarter to pick up a win in Waterville.

Brad Smith scored a game-high 19 points for Temple (3-7) while Joe Xu poured in 10.

Brandon Brown led North Haven (0-9) with eight points.

VALLEY 80, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 37: Cody Laweryson finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds as the Cavaliers rolled to win a over the Lions in Bingham.

Luke Malloy added 10 points and eight assists for Valley (12-0) while Austin Cates chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds. Collin Miller finished with 12 points in the win.

Mason Jones led GPC (5-7) with 13 points.
